Red rocket

I do so enjoy the composition of your photos, Kit.

You do it so effortlessly yet there is just enough balance and proportion in your photos.

I do not think everyone knows how to do it effectively and a lot of people take this for granted.

Yes, balance is the key...actually my compositional skills improved when I got a digicam -- somehow, looking at a shot with both eyes instead of just one when peering into the viewfinder seems to help a lot. Of course, unlike a consumer digicam, my DSLR has no "live preview" (ie no live image on the LCD during shooting) which means that I still have to use one eye to compose my shot. The difference is I can immediately see the shot I just took and change composition and reshoot immediately if necessary. With film, it was such a hit-and-miss affair.
