Just an interesting shot of the detail in this wall. What struck me was that this particular wall was made up of several different types of rock, making some sections stand out more than others. Nikon D70, AF-S Nikkor 12-24mm f/4

Was it planned -- the different types of stone to give it that effect over time?
Don't think it was planned because the layout seems to be very haphazard. Most probably they used whatever was at hand at the time. This area especially has a wider variety of rock types to choose from.
