Flower among the stupas

It may look like a grab shot, but getting a shot like this requires a little bit of patience and planning. Pashupatinath temple is a temple for the Lord Shiva, and is one of the holiest places in Kathmandu. When I was taken to this high vantage point at the temple, I realised that trying to shoot the entire complex just wouldn't work, so I looked around for some interesting detail and a subject. I noticed these stupas and realised they would look pretty good framed a certain way. The next step was to aim the camera and wait for just the right person to come along and pass in just the right spot. Nikon D200, AF-S Nikkor 18-200mmVR Posted by Picasa
