This lightning storm raged on for hours over the mountains at Ghandruk, one of our first stops on the trek. So long did it last that we had time to eat dinner, then set up a tripod and camera to shoot the storm. This was the best shot of the 5-6 that we took. Taking lightning shots is of course a hit-and-miss affair, but you can better your odds by setting the camera on a tripod, open the shutter for about 8 seconds at f/3.5 (ISO400) and wait.
