Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath is one of the major temples in Kathmandu, and is where Hindus bring their dead to be cremated and then their ashes cast into the Bagmati river. Strangely enough, it's also one of the more popular tourist attractions in Kathmandu. While you can get pretty close to the cremation, I opted to stay a respectful distance and shoot only a few shots. I'm pretty sure no bereaved party will appreciate a tourist poking his camera right into a funeral. You can just see here that the cremation takes place out in the open.
